Notes

  • Melways ref 134 E7
  • Available during “public access” times only. Check here for availability.
  • Blokart disc brake and horn or bell are MANDATORY. No exceptions!
  • Click here for a map of Casey Fields and directions to the track.
  • Abuse of the facilities will be treated as a serious issue. We are their guests.

Sandy Point

Shallow Inlet

  • Go toward Sandy Point, but don’t turn off into the town.
  • Follow the road to the end and onto the beach. You can only access the beach at low tide.
  • Turn right and park near the large sand bank. That is where we sail.

Notes

  • Sailing at Balnarring is currently banned. Stay tuned for further info.
  • Melways ref 193E10
  • Tricky to find - when you enter the 40km/h zone, the road will turn to the right at the cafe. Turn left on the dirt track to Westernport Yacht Club instead. Click here for details.

Notes

  • Melways ref 528 B10
  • Drive to Meeniyan. Just past Meeniyan (if you are coming from Melbourne), turn off to Fish Creek. Follow signs to Waratah Bay, then Sandy Point. Click here for details.
  • Park in parking lot opposite the General Store. Set up (no mast or sail), then drag blokart over path past Life Saving Club to beach. Set up mast and sail there.
  • Sail towards point. Do not sail in front of the township. Stay away from other beach users.
  • Sandy Point is good for westerlies to southerlies. If the wind is from the north or east, Shallow Inlet is the go.
