Melbourne Blokart Club Track As you are probably aware, the committee has been working for some years to try to secure some land and funding for a blokart track. We have spoken to a number of councils, politicians, and other representatives of bodies that may have been able to assist us, but to no avail. With the loss of the Dandenong Sale Yard site that had been our de facto home for many years, we have been unable to to secure access to a site suitable to conduct regular races. The club has been made an incredible offer of the use of some land for a track. The committee has inspected the area, discussed the proposal, and mapped out a potential layout for the track. So, as a club, we have a decision to make? We can build a useable track, but it will cost pretty much every cent the club has. A decision whether to proceed needs to be made by the members. The club AGM is coming up soon. Following the formal part of the AGM, we will be seeking your views on the proposal and putting it to a vote. |
